3D ANIMATION & MODELING

GruntWorks uses a comprehensive collection of 3D Animation tools for modeling, animation and rendering. Maya is our principal software package of choice, although we also use a number of other packages 3D tools for modeling and texturing, depending on the projects requirements. We can model anything from highly detailed human characters, creatures, environments, vehicles to simple props and objects.

3D ANIMATION STORYBOARDS & CONCEPT LAYOUTS

Story boards are essentially a series of numbered sketches that help visualize the scenes for animation. They usually will include such detail as action and motion in a scene and can include written descriptions of dialogue, sound effects and transitions. Story boards are the most important part of the pre-production process, as they form the basis and to a point set the feel of the animation. These story boards are used in several ways to help coordinate different aspects of the creative teams that will work on the animation.

3D CHARACTER DESIGN / MODELING & RIGGING

Our character design and modeling process is completely customizable, with an extensive range of modeling software for anything from simple forms to intricately detailed models. Once we have the final model we are then able to rig the character which enables us to bring it to life.

3D CLOTH / HAIR & FUR SIMULATION

Cloth, Hair & Fur can all be simulated in 3D, giving a realistic flow to your animations. We use several different award winning packages to achieve this such as SyFlex and Shave and a Haircut which work well with the varied 3D Animation tools we utilize to give you outstanding results.

3D DYNAMIC FLUID EFFECTS

Fluid Effects includes a wide range of dynamic animation effects such as those required to simulate water, clouds and even explosions. GruntWorks also uses specialized software that focuses on this innovative fluid technology which until recently was almost impossible to achieve.

3D STEREOSCOPIC ANIMATION

Stereoscopic Animation is quickly becoming the new standard in multimedia entertainment especially for cinema with the recent release of a number of titles in (3D). This technology is also available from GruntWorks and our studio is fully equipped with the latest stereoscopic production equipment and software to produce stunning realistic 3D animation.

3D RENDERING & POST PRODUCTION

At GruntWorks we realize that you want the very best quality for your finished project. We use a number of different rendering techniques depending on the outcome required to produce the highest possible quality results. We also use high end industry standard post production software to complement your 3D Animation.
